A Five-Year Love Letter to Mr. L

For five years, I wrote love letters to someone named Liu Jiamu.

But everyone said that person didn't exist.

Then I woke up in a hospital, my memories shattered.

And every letter I'd written was lying quietly in a strange man's drawer.

He said, “I followed your letters and waited nine years.”

But was there really a pink-haired boy in my youth?

Or were those five years just a monologue no one ever heard?

“You're the hardest mystery in my medical records, and the only person I ever wrote a love letter to in my youth.”
