Elegant Leisure in Bianliang

Each season has its own sights to admire: lantern-lit nights beneath the moon, flowers blooming in the snow, the Qixi Festival, climbing to high places, and galloping through imperial gardens. Wherever you looked, there were green-tiled painted pavilions, embroidered doors and beaded curtains. Ornate carriages crowded the main streets as fine horses raced along the imperial roads, dazzling gold and jade catching the eye and silks and brocades filling the air with fragrance. How lovely it is to find quiet joy among the fading lanterns; the warmth of everyday life comforts the heart most of all.
