The Moon Goddess, who serves as the Matchmaker, gets drunk and makes a mess of things. She smears ink across the Book of Marriages and mistakenly binds several couples together,
causing the Tree of Marriage to be uprooted. For this crime, she should lose her immortal status and have her immortal bones stripped away. But the Jade Emperor remembers that she once secured good matches for several of his daughters, so he gives her a chance to make amends. The Demon King of Ten Thousand Demons Valley was never destined for a match, but because of her mistake, the Second Princess has been promised to him as his beloved. Unfortunately, this demon neither ages nor dies nor can be injured,
and sealing him away would throw the Three Realms into disorder. The Moon Goddess is ordered to stop this match and break them up, but she unexpectedly encounters her own destiny.
