What if a loving mother had protected her throughout her childhood? What if, in her youth, a steadfast old man who missed her had taught her? “Bunny Mom, are you leaving?” “Naruko, take good care of yourself, okay? Eat properly, and be a good young lady.” “I understand! Don’t worry, Bunny Mom!” The girl answered with a look of resolve. But that night, her once-golden hair turned dull. She buried her little head between her knees and sobbed quietly. “Wahahaha, little girl! Where am I? I’m Monkey D. Garp, a Marine!” “Grandpa, why are you laughing when your heart is sad?” The golden-haired girl looked at the laughing Marine in confusion. “Wahahaha, because as long as you laugh, your pain turns into happy pain, little girl.” “Is that so? Then I’ll do it too! Yahahahaha.”
