The Stars Look Up to the Moon

(Mutual devotion, exclusive to each other, an elegant rose-like beauty × a powerful businessman who grovels at her feet. Sweet romance.) Everyone knew that Jiang Ruanxing, the ruthless business tycoon of H City, had one famous weakness: the moon that was the hardest rose to pluck from the garden, Ji Shuyue. He protected the eldest daughter of the Ji family like a mad dog guarding its only bone. So she was spoiled and willful, treating Jiang Ruanxing like a shadow at her feet, summoning him and sending him away whenever she pleased. Until Ji Shuyue went bankrupt overnight and fell from the clouds. Everyone waited to watch her get crushed by the consequences. Jiang Ruanxing tipped up her chin and smiled. “Little moon, beg me. I’m the only one who can protect you.” She scoffed in disdain. She, Ji Shuyue, had never begged anyone for anything. But late that night, he knelt beside her bed, his eyes bloodshot and his voice trembling. “Little moon… Could you look at me? Please?” Everyone had seen it: Right in front of Jiang Ruanxing’s own mother, she slapped him across the face and watched coldly as he knelt. “If your mother tries to stir things up again, I’ll punish you again.” He lowered his head and kissed her toes, answering hoarsely, “All right.” Everyone in H City sighed: What kind of business tycoon is this? He’s nothing but a groveling mad dog beneath the rose’s skirts.
