Foshan Osteopathic Medical Records Collection

Foshan bone setting is one of the well-preserved trauma bone setting schools in China. This book uses documentary medical cases and a large number of pictures to show the modern style of bone setting in Foshan. Chapters 1, 2, and 3 of this book describe the creation and development of the Foshan Fourteen Methods of Bone-setting, TCM bone-setting techniques, TCM yin-yang theory, TCM orthopedic theory, and the organic combination with modern medical theory. They focus on the operation methods and reduction principles of the Foshan Fourteen Methods of Bone-setting, the use of small splints, the three-stage syndrome differentiation of fractures, and functional therapy, which fully embodies the principles and characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of fractures. Chapter 4 is a classic record of Foshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital's use of the Fourteen Bone-setting Methods to treat thousands of patients with fractures in the 1990s. Chapter 5 collects typical medical records of 278 cases (including 12 cases of multiple fractures). Except for 20 cases with short treatment times (17 cases of dislocation and 3 cases of fracture), the other 258 medical cases had one or more follow-up and recorded results. The collection of Foshan bone-setting medical records basically reflects the modern inheritance status of Foshan bone-setting, and fully embodies the characteristics and advantages of Foshan's trauma bone-setting and TCM closed treatment of fractures. This book is suitable for reading and reference by clinical technicians such as TCM orthopedics and rehabilitation, and can also be used as a reference for all types of TCM and Western medicine clinical workers.
