Ren Yaoyao was a breath of fresh air in the esports section of Tomato Live. That wasn't because he was good at games, though. Few people watched just for the gameplay, so Ren Yaoyao had to take a different approach. He called viewers “bro” nonstop during his streams, and soon he had a huge fanbase shipping him with other people. His fans affectionately called him a walking ship-making machine: there was no one he couldn't flirt with. He had countless ships online, but in real life, they were all buddies who could become sworn brothers at any moment. He lived like that for a long time. Then one day, he somehow became a ship with Yan Zhen!
He even became a teammate on the same esports team. Once they stepped onto the battlefield, they found that everyone knew each other. Every single one of them was one of Ren Yaoyao's dear older brothers.
Ren Yaoyao saw Yan Zhen as his goal, someone to surpass. But why was this guy so different from the person he seemed to be online?
“You ship yourself with everyone else, but not with me. Do you hate me?”
“Huh?”
“You call everyone else ‘big brother,’ but not me. Did I do something wrong?”
“What?”
“Why won't you team up with me in-game now that you've joined the team? Am I not good enough?”
“Uh?”
Good heavens, where had that aloof male god gone? Was this man who reeked of fake sweetness really the Yan Zhen I knew?
The Honor of Kings setup in this story is based on my own take on the real game, with some parts made up too. I'm a bit of a coward.
It's pretty good, but there are not many people watching it.
