Because of the genetic lock, Earth was sealed off by another civilization, creating a series of closed loops in space and time.
Xiangyang accidentally connects to a parallel world and can travel freely between the two. He thinks he has escaped the loop, only to discover that the worlds are drawn to each other, trapping him in an even more severe paradox.
