A Lighthearted Sorrow

I often gaze up at the stars and marvel at the boundlessness of time and space, and sometimes I look back on the past and suddenly realize how quickly the years have flown. Time can be so fast, and so slow. The time we missed was as fragile as a scrap of paper, while the time we spent together was as solid as a masterpiece. I’ve imagined all sorts of possibilities for the rest of my life, but I can’t accept any of them without you.” “You were the one who came after me first. So why could you leave so easily, leaving me alone with my grief?”
