死屋:沙皇统治时期的西伯利亚流放制度
This book truly depicts the cruel world of the Siberian exile system during the Tsarist rule. The characters have distinct personalities, some heroes are admirable, and some evil forces are hated. The historical stories and details in the book are very fascinating and gave me a deeper understanding of the suffering of that era. Recommended to friends who are interested in history and social systems.
This is not a history book written according to different themes. It shows readers the incompetence, brutality and corruption of the exile system in Tsarist Russia from different regions, different groups, and different times from multiple angles. The exile system and the national destiny of Tsarist Russia share weal and woe. It serves as a mirror to reflect the fate of Tsarist Russia. However, I personally feel that it is a pity. It would be better if a chapter on the exile system in general and a chapter introducing the executors of the exile system such as officials and guards could be added.
