A Secret Crush Takes Root

Ruan Zhuqing has a secret: she has a crush on Ye Licheng, the heartthrob from the class next door. Only Guanguan knows. So many little feelings are swallowed before they can be spoken, hidden away with the passing years. She had planned to keep this secret buried in her heart forever. Who could have guessed that when they met again years later at Zhizhu Bookshop, he would slowly and patiently win her over? Only then did she realize that she, too, had always been his little joy. A little scene: Ruan Zhuqing lost a painting, then later found it at Ye Licheng's place. Looking at the painting she had made long ago, she cautiously asked, “So... you were the one who fell for me first?” She turned around and saw him gazing at her, his eyes clear and youthful as he said softly, “Mm. It’s time you knew.” A cultured bookshop owner heroine vs. a gentle teacher hero Ruan Zhuqing x Ye Licheng
