Memoirs of a Tomb Raider

In a mural from three thousand years ago, a hungry ghost wearing a bronze mask abducted the love of my life. I spent thirteen years tracing the origins of Western Zhou astronomy and calendars, searching for ancient sites such as the Ba State and Peng State, and uncovering the intertwined history of astronomy, geomancy, and the rise and fall of human and divine authority. I have witnessed countless bizarre scenes with my own eyes: On a barren, sandy ridge, a stream has run scarlet as blood for as long as anyone can remember. At an ancient Yellow River crossing where waves batter the rocks, a ghost ship covered in gold foil sails upstream. At the end of a deep underground sacred passage stands a second blank stone stele, unknown to all. I am no archaeologist. I venture underground only to bring back the person I love.
