Dangerous Best Friend

“Nian Nian, I have to go on a business trip for a month. Could you stop by my place and feed my cat? Also, the mango juice in the fridge is almost expired.” At two in the morning, the vibration of my phone jolted me awake. I picked up the phone from my bedside table and saw a message from my best friend, Chen Qian. I’m a very light sleeper. I’m not exaggerating when I say that even the sound of a pin dropping at night would wake me instantly. Chen Qian has always known this, so she never messages me in the middle of the night. The next second, I suddenly realized something. My sleepiness vanished, and cold sweat broke out all over me. Chen Qian and I have known each other for more than ten years. She’s my best friend, and no one knows her better than I do.
