Mr. Nan Huaijin, as one of my favorite masters of Chinese studies in modern times, embodies my admiration and love for Chinese studies. In my opinion, Mr. Nan Huaijin has mastered the knowledge of Chinese studies and many aspects of philosophy to the point where he has returned to his original nature. This book is an example of my point of view. After reading it carefully, I couldn't help but sigh, this is your writing and this is your mind. Not only did he cover many knowledge systems, he also put forward many unique insights.
I often think that meditation is purely a matter of the mind. Once the mind is purified, one will naturally be able to be "quiet", able to "sit up", "concentrate", and "have light in the heart". After all, don't you see that the Sixth Patriarch Hui Neng stood still just after hearing a few words of the Diamond Sutra? To become a Buddha, can one understand the mind and see the nature? But after reading the book, I realized that the body and the mind are closely related and indispensable. If you cannot break through the three levels of "Tail Lu", "Jiaji" and "Jade Pillow", it is impossible to enter the state of concentration, let alone explain the mind to see the nature.
"Immortality" has been the yearning and pursuit of people for thousands of years. Everyone in the Fang family has their own ideas on how to practice. In order to answer the inquiries from scholars, Mr. Nan Huaijin combined his many years of practice and ancient and modern writings to focus on the meditation practice methods of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. The content includes: the postures and key points of meditation; the reaction of Qi in the body during meditation, and the resulting psychological and physiological changes. A very amazing book.
I am very happy about Master Huai Nanjin's book. It makes me feel at ease and quiet. Although I am relatively low-educated and cannot express the joy in my heart, and I may not yet have the wisdom to enlighten me, I still like to listen to it. Reading this kind of book makes my body and mind peaceful.
A very good article about cultivating the truth through false pretense in the city, following the video of Nan Huaijin's 2008 ten-day conference "Discussion on the Traditional Learning of Mind, Body, and Life", continuing the relationship that started many years ago.
This book gives readers some guidance, and they gain a lot of knowledge by reading this book.
