Welcome to Tanuki Hall

An elegant, cocky cat and a dimwitted fox: the handsomest, most powerful detective duo bursts onto the scene! Huo Li is a little fire fox who has cultivated for five hundred years, yet his greatest talent is eating. Being so useless gets him kicked out of his sect by his big brother, a celestial master, who tells him to figure out how to feed himself. Luckily, his “pet spirit cat,” Xiaobai, who seems to have been a god in a past life, has at least a little brains. Xiaobai suggests opening a detective agency and taking cases to find lost cats and dogs. At last, they can enjoy a quiet little life... (Wait, this cat seems smarter than its owner.) But while people fear fame and foxes fear getting fat, the reputation of their “Cat and Fox Hall” grows day by day, and they start attracting paranormal cases! He has no problem “talking things over” with fellow creatures like fox spirits, and he can handle all kinds of demons and monsters. But the one thing he’s truly afraid of is ghosts! With spirits coming at him, all he can do is bring out his last-resort protective talisman...
