Great Historical Fiction
Make it realistic, not too over-the-top.
For Fans of Late Ming Historical Military Fiction: The Best of the Best
Looking for books like I Passed Myself Off as Chongzhen's Son, Cut Through the Qing Army, and Revived the Ming. The battle scenes feel realistic, the characters fit their historical counterparts, and the payoff is well paced. The protagonist struggles to survive against the odds and plans carefully at every step. No massive tech-tree development and no golden finger.
Looking for High-Quality Historical Fiction. No Mindless Power Trips or Brain-Dead Plotting
I want high-quality historical fiction that’s engaging and doesn’t dumb things down or rely on brainless plots. It can be satisfying, but don’t treat readers like idiots. No stories like the one where the protagonist fools Cao Cao’s quartermaster about the provisions from the start, or those where a literati protagonist suddenly has the strength of a tyrant. They’re unoriginal and mindless...
Any Good Novels Like Literary Classics, Such as One Hundred Years of Solitude?
I'm not interested in these power fantasies lately. I urgently need literary fiction. Anyone interested is welcome to stop by.

Reading Gu Cheng's "History of the Southern Ming Dynasty", I just feel sad and desolate. There are mountains and rivers to defend and people with lofty ideals to rely on, but they are trapped in internal conflicts between parties and power struggles. Shi Kefa stayed alone in Yangzhou, while Li Dingguo fought against the Qing Dynasty with tears and blood, but it was difficult to save the building from collapse. The demise of the Southern Ming Dynasty was not due to the strength of the Qing army, but actually due to its own dispersion. Read Bi Changshu, a sad song of troubled times, every word touches my heart.
Mr. Gu Cheng's truth can be said to have broken through hundreds of years of fog in Ming history research.
The biggest lesson from the history of the Southern Ming Dynasty to the Chinese nation is that when foreign invaders invade, they must put aside their prejudices and deal with the outside world unanimously. This is also the reason why people of insight during the Anti-Japanese War proposed not to repeat the old affairs of the Southern Ming Dynasty.
I especially hate those characters who fight among themselves. They do whatever it takes to pursue their own interests and ruin the country. But this also gave me a deeper understanding of the reasons for Nanming's demise. I recommend you read it, you will definitely gain a lot!
The country will be destroyed by internal strife, and the country will be destroyed by internal strife. This is written by Nan Ming. Mr. Fucheng's writing is really good.
You are worthy of being a great man. I have benefited a lot just from reading the preface.
It's really good. There are a lot of classical Chinese texts.
Worth reading carefully and gaining insights
A masterpiece in books related to the history of the Southern Ming Dynasty
It feels pretty reliable and has historical data to support it.
