With the successful bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, the development of ice sports in my country has also ushered in a great opportunity. Ice sports, especially speed skating, are becoming increasingly popular among the people. Zhang Hong, the women's 1,000-meter speed skating champion at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, wrote this book based on her own experience and using her spare time from training. I also specially hired an illustrator to add comics to the book. I hope that the combination of pictures and texts can help readers who want to learn skating, especially children, understand some basic knowledge of speed skating, master certain skills more easily, and truly get into speed skating. This book introduces the relevant content of speed skating from three parts: basic knowledge, basic techniques and exercises, competition rules and key points. I hope that in the near future, more and more Chinese faces will be riding on the ice.

This book is really great! Explaining speed skating in the form of comics is easy to understand and as interesting as "Slam Dunk"! Moreover, it was written by Olympic champion Zhang Hong, and the content is very professional. I especially like the practice techniques in the book, which I feel are very practical. I really hope that there will be more good books like this in the future, allowing us to learn various sports knowledge easily. However, I kind of hate Xiao Ming in the book. He always makes some stupid mistakes, haha. I hope I won't be like him~
