The Eldest Legitimate Daughter Fell in Love at First Sight

Zhou Zhuoqing was raised in her maternal grandparents’ home in Ruoshui from childhood. She was not brought back to the capital until a year after her coming-of-age ceremony. Her grandfather told her how wonderful life in the capital was. Back home, she would have a good background and family standing, which would help her find a husband who suited her. But to her, the capital seemed like a man-eating demon, terrifying enough to make anyone keep their distance. On the boat from Ruoshui to the capital, she only exchanged a glance with someone before falling for her looks. Though she usually minded her own business, she stepped in to help that person. She thought they would never meet again, but not long after she returned to the capital, she ran into that “pretty older sister” once more.
