Mechanical Wasteland Hunters

[No female lead] [Slow burn, not for everyone] [Character growth]

Since ancient times, the human heart has been the hardest thing to fathom. You never know whether a teammate who stood by your side just a moment ago will point their gun at you the next. When supplies are scarce, water is hard to come by, and survival seems all but impossible, no one can be an absolutely good person.

Machines are different. They don't need supplies or water, nor do they need emotional comfort or physical intimacy. They have no special feelings, and under certain circumstances, their absolute loyalty makes them perfect people.

[There are some typos and formatting issues early on. After readers pointed them out, I started fixing them right away, but there were just too many to get through. I've been paying attention to this in the later chapters.]
