What is consciousness? Even the most advanced scientific research has yet to reach a consensus. Yet, in the understanding humanity has developed over thousands of years, consciousness undeniably exists within us. Current theories include some deeply pessimistic hypotheses, such as brains in jars and the metaverse. These ideas and propositions weigh heavily on us. Although they cannot currently be proven, neither can they be disproven. We still need to face them objectively. However, as the author, I would rather trust the theories our predecessors have developed, especially the Taoist thought found in Chinese wisdom: human consciousness still has enormous potential waiting to be unlocked.
What lies at the heart of consciousness? I cannot distill its essence in the clearest words, but it must include sensation, feeling, emotion, perception, and insight. Consciousness must therefore be something beautiful.
If multiple civilizations beyond our imagination coexist in this world, how should we face them? This is a question the author explores with Earth, and even the universe, as a starting point.
In fact, this question is very real: what kind of consciousness is best suited to help human civilization coexist harmoniously, uncover the truth about Earth, and even venture out into the universe?
The author hopes to express what is on his mind through science fiction, fantasy, and magical realism with Chinese characteristics.
Here, I offer a few humble ideas to spark discussion, hoping that readers who read and understand this work will do as Romain Rolland said: even after seeing the truth of life, still embrace life without hesitation. Since the Creator has allowed us the rare chance to journey through this world...
After reading it for a long time, I feel that the author wrote the book carefully. There are some deeper thoughts in it, and you need to read it carefully to feel the author's intentions. Good book
