Magic on Livestream: Wait, Are You a God?

Gu Nan accidentally finds a string of Buddhist prayer beads and unexpectedly awakens the divine apparition of Patriarch Bodhi.

From then on, Gu Nan starts livestreaming magic tricks to make money.

One day, he boasts that he can levitate in midair. The viewers don’t believe him and challenge him to really fly, with the top donor promising to claim the number one spot.

Gu Nan goes viral, flying straight over to a fighter jet.

After that, the military can no longer keep secret the fact that it has specially recruited an immortal soldier.

Army: Why waste time running drills to build fitness? The new trend is learning from immortals and eating like crazy.

Air Force: What are you messing around for? The Army can already run right over our heads and throw grenades. If we don’t learn the Seventy-Two Transformations, how are we supposed to adapt to future warfare?

Navy: We already have a modern-day Sun Wukong. We need every soldier to be able to call the Dragon King a brother.

Military Weapons Research Institute: Guys, could you please slow down your cultivation? We’ve searched the whole world and can’t find any weapons that can spar with you.

Then one day, foreign enemies invade and the Southern Heavenly Gate is reopened. The invaders stare in shock at the heavenly soldiers and generals filling the sky. “We get that you’ve got the technological edge, but this is way too much of an overmatch!”
