Starting with Unit-07

The First Child, Su Yi, awoke from his slumber at the lunar base. Facing the Little Angel, Nagisa Kaworu, he smiled brightly. “Strange Lilin, why do I feel absolutely nothing for you?” Calmly, he answered the Little Angel Nagisa Kaworu’s question. “Mr. Kaworu, or should I call you Adam? You should know that the world is ever-changing. Even the Angels can’t foresee everything.” Kaworu froze for a moment, then gave his trademark smile. “Looks like you’re an oddity, just like Shinji! Would you be interested in helping me stop a catastrophe?” With that, he held out his slender, pale hand. Su Yi nodded, smiling, then placed his hand in the Little Angel Nagisa Kaworu’s, accepting his offer. “So, which Eva am I piloting?” Su Yi shrugged. He had no idea which numbered Eva he was supposed to pilot. Kaworu thought for a moment. Then he seemed to remember something, and his eyes lit up. “Then pilot Mark.07.” Su Yi stared blankly. Where had Unit-07 come from at a time like this? That was clearly a later, unmanned autonomous Eva. This was bad. The timeline had already gone off the rails. But... If the timeline had gone off the rails, could he break the prophecy himself? (An EVA fanfic! I’ll be the one to protect Asuka’s happiness! There will be some original elements. Following EVA’s setting completely makes some parts frustrating to write, so let’s leave that frustration behind and just write the fun stuff.)
