Wu Zetian, Part One: The Phoenix's Cry Shakes the World

As the first and only female emperor in the 5,000-year history of the Chinese nation, Wu Zetian's life was glorious. The wordless tablet she left behind after her death also left countless comments to future generations. The author starts from her entry into the palace and went through ups and downs during the period, creating the short but prosperous Zhou Dynasty. Coupled with her rich and complex emotional entanglements, it really makes readers full of expectations. The book depicts the emotions, rationality, and ruthlessness of a generation of female emperors, which is very exciting.

Wu Zetian is a controversial historical figure. On the one hand, she became the emperor as a woman. As the first female emperor in Chinese history, she pioneered the trend, which reflected the openness and tolerance of the Tang Dynasty in that era and greatly encouraged the feminist thoughts of later generations. On the other hand, her path to the throne and her actions after ascending the throne have aroused criticism from many people in the contemporary and even future generations. In her, we see an extremely contradictory character. This book's narration of the first half of Wu Zetian's life helps us understand this female image more clearly.

The content is wonderful, the layers are clear, the voice is smooth, super refreshing, and super nice to listen to.

Rich content, compact rhythm and clear structure

This book is written very delicately and wonderfully

Wu Zetian was the only woman in Chinese history to officially ascend the throne as emperor. She holds an important position in history and is regarded as one of the most powerful women in Chinese history. In the later years of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, due to his immorality and political corruption, Wu Zetian gradually gained actual control of the political power. After the death of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, she deposed the two princes and finally proclaimed herself emperor in 690, becoming the first female emperor in Chinese history. During Wu Zetian's reign, a series of reforms and policies were implemented, including military, legal, economic and other reforms. She implemented a series of enlightened policies that improved the country's economic conditions and social order, allowing the Tang Dynasty to reach a period of prosperity and stability under her rule.

It's well written and can make people read it and be immersed in it!

This book is remarkable, with delicate writing and true historical stories.

I can especially understand Wu Zetian's struggle and struggle in the court, and I admire her wisdom and courage. This book made me understand that no matter how difficult the environment is, we must have the courage to pursue our dreams. I didn't study hard before, and I regret it now, but I believe that as long as you work hard, it's never too late!

It's great to watch and listen to. It kills two birds with one stone. I will continue to listen and watch it.
