The Mask

Zhu Yu is a high school senior about to graduate. For the past year, she has been harassed by an unknown man. To escape her stalker, she follows journalist Zhang Guang’s introduction and seeks out Ai Ge, a man who runs a detective agency in Piantian Town. Business at the agency is poor, so to make ends meet, Ai Ge reluctantly takes Zhu Yu’s case and begins investigating the harassment. During the investigation, he discovers that the man stalking Zhu Yu is likely the Masked Man, a criminal who recently appeared and attacks women traveling alone while wearing a mask. He always strikes at night, operating between Anbian City and Piantian Town to the south. Meanwhile, police officer Qiao Wei is also assigned to investigate the Masked Man. He draws up a list of suspects, believing any one of them could be the culprit, but there is not enough evidence to prove it against any of them. Just as Qiao Wei finally identifies the Masked Man, he discovers that there is more than one culprit.
