The Nine-Lived Corpse Herder

I’m an orphan. My grandpa said my Five Elements element is Yin, and that I was born under an unlucky sign, destined to do the work of a Yin person. To survive, I had to endure three calamities and six hardships, so my grandpa raised a black cat and gave me nine extra lives. He taught me to keep to the shadows by day and roam by night, to send off ghosts and drive corpses. I can summon clear skies, pray for rain, exorcise ghosts, dispel evil, and summon souls. I have abilities beyond anything an ordinary person could imagine. They say western Hunan has three evils: corpse-driving, poison-craft, and the Flower-Dropping Cave Maiden. And I am a corpse-driver from western Hunan.
