This "General History of Germany" is great! It tells the history of Germany from ancient times to the eve of the Reformation in detail, giving me a deeper understanding of Germany's feudal imperial era. It feels a bit similar to "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire", both being important parts of European history. The book also mentioned "Germanization, Christianization and feudalization", which reminded me of Caesar's famous saying "I come, I see, I conquer". The history of Germany is also an epic full of conquests and changes!
It would be nice if the editor was neutral and objective and did not add his own thoughts to the book.
This book is good, very good
