15. Aspire to study: Don't forget to aspire when you are poor.
When Confucius was three years old, his father died and he grew up under the influence of his mother. Although his family was poor, Confucius did not lose his ambition. He often arranged sacrificial vessels and imitated the ritual movements of sacrificial rituals, and unknowingly he became an expert in etiquette. At the age of fifteen, he established his great ambition to "deny himself and restore propriety" and make a living for the people of the world, and he worked tirelessly for it throughout his life.

When Confucius was in his twenties, he became a minor official in the state of Lu. Although he had no worries about food and clothing, he was still unknown. But just a few years later, he was recognized by Lu Zhaogong, the king of Lu, for his proficiency in rituals and music, and was invited to attend the meeting with Qi Jinggong and Yan Ying. Since then, Confucius' reputation as a wise man has spread throughout the world. This year, Confucius was thirty years old and claimed to be "standing at thirty."
Don't be confused at forty: When you reach forty, you need to know what to say and what not to say.
Confucius became famous for his erudition when he was in his thirties. He was willing to answer people's questions and took "no confusion" as his declaration at this stage of his life when he was forty years old. But he refused to answer some questions. Once Zigong asked Confucius: "Do people have consciousness after death?" Confucius refused to answer. Because if it is said that there is consciousness, the filial son will bury the deceased generously and hinder the life of the living; if it is said that there is no consciousness, the unfilial son will abandon the body of the deceased and not bury it. In Confucius' view, a forty-year-old person does not need to have knowledge, but he must have the value judgment to know what to say (do) and what not to say (do), otherwise he will not understand.
