Biography

"Zhuan Xi Lu" is the representative work of the Ming Dynasty philosopher Wang Yangming. The book is divided into three volumes: the first, middle and second volumes. It includes dialogues and questions between Wang Yangming and his disciples, as well as correspondence between Wang Yangming and his contemporaries. It embodies Wang Yangming's philosophical thoughts such as the mind is reason, the unity of knowledge and action, and the pursuit of conscience. For the convenience of reading and a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of Yangming's thought, this edition places "Zhu Xi's Final Comments on His Later Years" as an appendix at the end of the book for the readers' convenience. The annotations in this book are concise, easy to understand, and restore the true nature of the original work to a greater extent. It is the best work among all editions of "Zhuan Xi Lu".
