Five Thousand Years of World History

This book is rich in content and not boring at all. It is very suitable for freshly graduated college students like us. The historical stories and characters in the book are so interesting. I especially hate those tyrants, such as Emperor Yang of Sui. His words, "Whoever gave birth to me must not do it, whoever gives birth to me must not do it, and the rest cannot do it." It is really infuriating. But there are also characters that I like very much, like Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, who said, "Using copper as a mirror, you can straighten your clothes; using ancient times as a mirror, you can know the ups and downs; using people as a mirror, you can understand gains and losses." This sentence really makes sense! In general, this book not only allows me to understand history, but also allows me to learn a lot of principles of life. It is quite good!

After reading it, you will have a preliminary understanding of world history. When describing the history of Africa and Europe, time is not used as the main line, and the order is a bit unclear to the Chinese. The overall reading is not boring, which is okay.

The content is brilliant and worth watching!
