In October 1934, the main force of the Central Red Army left the Central Revolutionary Base and began the Long March. In November of the same year and April of the following year, the Red 25th Army in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Revolutionary Base Area and the Red Fourth Front Army in the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area respectively left their original bases and began the Long March. In November 1935, the Second and Sixth Red Army Corps in the revolutionary base area in western Hunan and Hubei also left the base area and began the Long March. In June 1936, the Second and Sixth Army formed the Second Front. In October, the First, Second, and Fourth Front Armies of the Red Army met in Huining, Gansu Province, ending the Long March. This book is different from other military documentary books. I came into contact with this book by chance when I first read it. I was waiting for the plane. I read it with a bored mind and kept reading. After I finished reading, an hour passed. Yes, I read it over and over again. It is no exaggeration to say that I almost missed the plane. This book is definitely a wonderful book, it has great value in literature, it is extremely realistic in history, it is instructive in military aspect, and overall, it is a versatile book.
I remember in elementary school's patriotic class it was said that crossing the snow-capped mountains was probably the hardest part of the 25,000-mile Long March. Although they suffered from cold, hunger, natural disasters and had to resist the enemy's pursuit and interception, such an arduous Long March could not defeat the Red Army's persistence in victory and its belief in peace. They sacrificed their lives in exchange for today's peaceful life and rapid development. As people in the new era, we not only look forward to the future but also look back on the past.
