Sweetheart, You Pretend to Be a Man, Now Hold It Right There

She can't believe she's ended up in the most outrageously melodramatic scenario ever! Just as she's about to start college, her parents drag her to an engagement ceremony and expect her to get engaged to a mysterious man whose name she doesn't even know. And that's not even the most ridiculous part: she has no idea what he looks like because she's never even met him! This engagement is far too hasty! It's straight out of some melodramatic novel or TV drama! How could this happen to Xu Xiachen of all people? She's clever, so there's no way she'll obediently go along with it. She puts on a wig and sneaks out of the house, then, with no other choice, escapes on the garbage-collecting tricycle belonging to the uncle next door.
