Cultivating the Heart

Little Monkey and Xiaojiu met on a rainy day.

They hit it off and, as time went by, became the best of friends. But life is unpredictable. One day, Little Monkey learned that Xiaojiu was ill. At first, Little Monkey took very good care of her. (What illness?)

But time passed, and you really do learn who people are over time.

In the end, she still left. It was late-stage cancer, beyond any cure.

What illness did Xiaojiu have? Why was there no cure?

What kind of person is Little Monkey, really?
