My Icy Boss Is Hard to Handle

As the formidable, icy director of nine kindergartens in M City, Xiao Chutian is outstandingly handsome and impeccably elegant, with a face as cold as ice. Though he has three thousand beautiful female employees and no shortage of admirers, he never shows them the slightest kindness, rejecting them without hesitation. Ai Yaya is one of those three thousand beauties. Known as “Boss Ai,” she is a tomboy with a mischievous streak and a face as lovely as a flower. She loves pranks and practical jokes. To his face, she is respectful, obedient, and full of flattery. Inwardly, though, she is full of complaints, resentment, dislike, and indifference. On the surface, Xiao Chutian is dismissive, hostile, sarcastic, domineering, and arrogant toward her. In truth, his words and feelings rarely match: he gets jealous, admires her, and cares about her far more than he lets on. At first, they both hide their thoughts, say the opposite of what they mean, and trade barbs. But gradually they come to care about each other, grow together, bring out the best in one another, and mature. Xiao Chutian glanced at the tiny amount she had gestured to and pursed his lips without realizing it. His handsome, captivating eyes held a trace of disdain. “I’d say you’re lacking more than just that little bit!”
