Reborn: As If We Had Just Met

Lin Shiyou stared in disbelief as her best friend raised a knife and plunged it into her chest. In an instant, blood poured everywhere, and she collapsed in a pool of it.

Echoing in her ears was her best friend Ruo Lingling's hysterical cry: “Lin Shiyou, die!”

The friend who had been by her side since childhood had schemed to destroy the Lin family. Not one of them survived, and after Lin Shiyou's death, Ruo Lingling's family took the Lin family's estate and all its possessions for themselves.

Fate took pity on her. Good people get what they deserve. Reborn once more, Lin Shiyou grew stronger and returned in triumph.

“My dear best friend, I'm back!”

Will tragedy repeat itself this time? Can Lin Shiyou protect the people she loves and cherishes?

If life were always as it was at first meeting, there would be no partings, no sorrow, no love, and no hate.

And yet it is that first meeting that gives rise to all the ones that follow.

“Hello, Lin Shiyou. It's a pleasure to meet you. You're like a gentle breeze, as beautiful as the evening glow.”

“Hello. It's our first meeting, yet you feel like an old friend. Your eyes and brows are like words on a page.”

Those who leave will never come back, but those who return will never leave again.

Just like that first meeting: seeing you feels like seeing an old friend.
