Treasures of China: I Talk to Lost National Treasures and Bring Them Home

During a public law class: “If Zhang San had superpowers and could steal back more than seventeen million national treasures that had been taken overseas, would that be illegal?” After asking, Teacher Luo smiled calmly. “The answer: If you call it stealing, then of course it’s illegal. But if you say he’s bringing our things back for our ancestors, then he’s a patriotic collector.” Jiang Bei unexpectedly obtained the Merit System and embarked on an extraordinary mission to bring national treasures home. The Tang masterpiece Portraits of Emperors Through the Ages? I’ll take that. The Song dynasty Jianzhan tea bowl? Taking it too. The David Vases? On their way! Overseas museums and unscrupulous collectors gritted their teeth at the very mention of Jiang Bei’s name. “Whoever catches Jiang Bei will receive a ten-billion bonus.”
