The Growth of a Female General

The Zhenbei Army under Lü Xiuluo was abandoned by the imperial court. With no other choice, they fled to the grasslands in search of a chance to survive. Once there, Lü Xiuluo unexpectedly won the support of the Eagle Tribe. Through reforms, she gradually built a formidable army. When Lü Xiuluo traveled south, the Sui family provided financial backing. She then reached agreements with the Fourth Prince and the Chancellor. Though she was based in the grasslands, Lü Xiuluo stirred up turmoil at court. After the Emperor and Wu Ba went to war, she seized the opportunity to force the Emperor to restore the Zhenbei Army’s honor and her authority over the northern frontier. The struggle between the imperial house and the old aristocracy grew ever fiercer. Lü Xiuluo gradually saw their loathsome true colors and resolved to overturn the existing order and establish a new court. In the end, Lü Xiuluo crossed a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, forging a path of her own.
