Synopsis

Benjamin Button was an eighty-year-old man when he was born, and became one year younger every other year. Therefore, he had a life and joys and sorrows that were completely different from others... This story spans a century of time, life and death from World War I to the 21st century. This short story by Fitzgerald was originally inconspicuous, but it became famous after it was adapted into the movie "Rejuvenation" by the famous genius director David Fincher in 2008 at a huge expense.

The concept is novel, but a bit simple, and not very interesting. It mainly focuses on the narrative, which leaves a lot of room for imagination. I finished it quickly. But some of the author's descriptions, the way the protagonist is treated by the people around him and his family, make people feel a little emotional, and the overall feeling is somewhat unclear.

This book is great! I particularly like the character of Benjamin Button. His life experience is really unique and moved me a lot. The book also has profound thoughts on life and time. Especially the love story between him and Daisy is really touching. I think this is a book worth reading and highly recommended!
