The late Tang arrives, and an age of chaos begins.
Warlords carve up the land, and the realm descends into turmoil.
Whenever chaos comes, demons and monsters are sure to follow.
Practitioners of the wicked arts emerge in droves, slaughtering innocents with horrifying brutality.
A great demon from the southern wilderness appears, devouring people and lording it over all.
The human heart breeds its own demons. Everyone becomes a demon, falls into the demonic path, and wreaks havoc across the land.
And then there is the great demon of the mortal world, who seeks to steal the throne of Heaven. It smashes open the Gates of the Underworld, and a thousand-year-old vengeful ghost returns to the world of the living. It gathers ghost soldiers and appoints ghost generals, until a kingdom of ghosts rises on mortal soil.
In a chaotic age, human lives are worth no more than weeds.
Amid this chaos, one Daoist emerges.
He bears the most vicious thoughts in the world,
has spent more than ten years cultivating Daoist arts in the mountains,
carries a peachwood sword in his hand,
and hangs a gourd of wine at his waist.
Alone with his sword, he wanders the world.
He steps in when he sees injustice and slays any demons and monsters he encounters.
He will slay demons and exorcise evil all the way, vowing to restore peace to the world!
The book is good, but it's a pity that it was written at the wrong time. The writing style is still the same as that of more than ten years ago, maybe even earlier. But it is undeniable that some of the plots are really good, and older people will definitely like them. I also want to write a book of the same type, so I've found this one, so keep working hard.
After reading it for a while, I realized that this is not a regular enjoyable novel, but more like a story about a Taoist priest living in a world of monsters and monsters. The writing is okay, but I don't want to read it after reading it. It's very strange, probably because there aren't too many hot spots in the plot, and the writing is really good. If you like watching slow drama, you can watch this.
