Yes, I have a general understanding of Kaiser II, but after the war, the Kaiser still tried to hope that Hitler would help him restore his dream of the empire.
In short, the subjective views of William II in it are still very strong. It can be used as a reference for historical materials, but it cannot be taken completely seriously as a personal memoir.
🤔 I finally watched a complete story about the aristocratic experience of the Hohenzollern family in the Second German Empire and how Wilhelm II tormented this Junker-style imperialist country that emerged in modern Europe.
This book gave me a deeper understanding of Wilhelm II. His memories were very real and made me feel like I was in that turbulent era. Bismarck's image is also more three-dimensional. The author's evaluation of him is very objective, affirming his achievements and pointing out his mistakes. As a new mother, I understand even more the importance of history, which allows us to learn from past experiences and avoid making the same mistakes. This book is worth reading!
William II was essentially a ruler who was good at domestic affairs, but he was unable to assume the responsibility of a ruler in troubled times when the war came. As Christopher said, he was the first media emperor.
Clear language
Very collectible
Although it is from the perspective of the Kaiser, the historical context is still very clear. History will judge its merits and demerits.
You can also learn about some generals who don't have biographies or anything like that.
