Beginning with the Age of Discovery in the 16th century, European civilization gradually expanded from North America, where the New World was discovered, to South America, Africa, the Pacific Islands, Oceania and other continents and oceans as explorers' routes and military conquests increased. This laid the historical foundation for colonial countries in addition to recorded ancient civilizations. The history of Australia was born from this, and it experienced development processes such as discovery, immigration, enclosure, colonization, competition, and independence, which are similar to the history of colonial countries described by European and American historians. The local Tu people, unless they control the current state power, have been forgotten intentionally or unintentionally, and have become headless or disappeared. After all, history is the record of the victors and does not all rely on archaeological evidence. This book is very interesting! It taught me a lot about the history of Australia, such as why it became a place for convicts to be exiled in the first place. I think history is really full of wonderful stories! Just like my girlfriend and I, we have experienced a lot of interesting things from the time we met to the time we fell in love. This book also made me think that the trajectory of each of our lives is actually affected by history. All in all, I love this book and recommend it to you!
