The Ruined Frontier

A Solitary Heart's Lament: Li Wuhui

Have you not seen how Guixu tears through the void like a ravine, where even gods cannot stand and ghosts cannot survive?

Have you not seen time and space fall into chaos and the myriad worlds collapse, as endless night gives way to a new dawn?

A few ounces of life's ups and downs, enough to intoxicate the immortals. Only in dreams do we realize there is nothing to grieve.

Years turn and twist, yet all things flow away like water. When the wasted years have run their course, we raise our cups again.

Fill the cup with the murky demons of this world, and invite my lonely shadow to drink beneath the Three Pure Ones.

Let us burn the zither and boil the crane, just to bring you all a smile.

Who will join me at this gathering? Who will stand with me as we raise a monument?

Three thousand heroic spirits drink with me; a hundred thousand brave warriors have no regrets.

Demons and monsters are nothing to fear, while all manner of evil vanishes with a snap of the fingers.

The golden tiger, Sai Tai Sui. A table laden with Taotie; dragon and phoenix to whet the appetite.

Raise your cups, everyone! I shall get drunk with you all in this life!
