"The Rise and Fall of the British Empire" is a panoramic display of the history of the British Empire. The time span starts from the Elizabethan era to the late 20th century. In the first part, the author praises the early adventurers for their contribution to the rise of the British Empire and the hard work of generations of settlers. The second part mainly tells the story of Britain's struggle for hegemony with other empires in order to maintain its hegemony, and finally created Britain's century-old hegemony with the victory of the Napoleonic War. The third part tells about the heyday of the British Empire in the 19th century until the advent of the First World War. The performance of Britain in the two world wars narrated in the fourth part was the beginning of the decline of the British Empire. The fifth part describes the various efforts made by Britain to maintain the empire after the war, and is the story of the end of the British Empire.
