History of Qin and Han Dynasties (Set of 3 Volumes)

"History of Qin and Han" is the second of Mr. Lu Simian's four chronological histories. It was written at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s and was first published in 1947. It has been reprinted many times since then and is a classic work for studying the history of the Qin and Han Dynasties in modern times. This book follows the style of pre-Qin history and is divided into two parts: political history, arranged in the order of historical events (volumes one and two); and cultural history (volume two), narrated in categories. The political history is comprehensive and coherent, clearly showing the readers the historical development context of China's Qin and Han Dynasties. Mr. Lu Simian is unique in his study of Chinese history and has unique insights. He has a thorough study of the social and political aspects of the Qin and Han Dynasties. Therefore, the Qin and Han Dynasties in the book are regarded as a watershed in the great changes in Chinese history and a key point in the Chinese social revolution. The discussion in the book is particularly impressive. The evaluation of the Qin and Han emperors can be described as insightful and most in line with the nature of human nature. This book draws on the editing results of multiple editions, changing the traditional vertical layout of the original book to the simplified horizontal layout, retaining the double-line annotation (Mr. Lu Simian believes that the double-line annotation is the "best style" in Chinese books), not only corrects some errors in the original book, but also corrects the areas that were not refined in other editions. The history written by Mr. Lu is solid and accurate, with clear descriptions of the ins and outs of history, causes and consequences, and unique and penetrating insights. It is a classic work in the academic history of modern China. Whether you are a history buff or not, you can read it and gain a lot.
