The World of Suspense: Ghost Festival

The Ghost Festival is when the living offer time to honor the dead. Cai Jun’s Peeping for 120 Days, Yong Cheng’s The Secret Investigator, A Piece of Candy’s Hunter Farm, and Zhou Haohui’s Evil Hypnotist 2: four chilling serials that will send a shiver down your spine. Song Xuan’s “Older Brother,” the story of a departed soul that is both the coldest and the most heartwarming in the world. The feature “The Thirteenth Hour” offers an introduction to the “world of suspense” created by German author Walter Moers.
