The Enchanting Empress Wu Zetian

Not bad, not bad, worth seeing~[laughs]

Every historical figure is controversial. As the only female emperor in history, Wu Zetian is no exception. Some people say that she is a woman with a snake-like heart: to fight for favor, she strangles her daughter to death and kills the queen with a stick; to avenge old revenge, she kills her brother; to protect the throne, she murders her sister; to fight for the throne, she poisons her son; to protect the throne, she murders like a scorpion... Some people say that she is an enlightened sage empress: an enlightened sage who selects talents and accepts advice. However, Wu Zetian controlled national affairs in her hands and made others surrender before her. What kind of woman is she? What makes her turn things around in a society where men are superior to women? This book will answer them all for us.

It mainly tells the legendary experience of Wu Zetian, a famous female politician in the Tang Dynasty. She gradually rose from a girl who had not yet entered the palace to the most powerful queen at that time, and created a new dynasty history. The book is also interspersed with rich historical figures and various stories that happened in the palace. It is not only a story about palace and house fighting, but also a work with high historical value. In the book, the author provides a comprehensive and in-depth description and analysis of the political, historical, and cultural background of the Tang Dynasty. Through the shaping of historical figures, the author better demonstrates Wu Zetian's personality characteristics.

As the only orthodox female emperor, Wu Zetian has always had many comments since the Tang Dynasty, from various angles, different viewpoints, scheming, ruthless, etc. But in my opinion she still has many advantages. Politically, the government cracked down on powerful families and developed imperial examinations, allowing students from poor families to get ahead. Economically, Wu Zetian encouraged farmers to pay less taxes and servitude, so the society was relatively stable during her reign, and agricultural and commercial businesses developed to a certain extent. Wu Zetian also made achievements in calligraphy. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Wu Zetian, as the first female emperor in the history of our country, is very controversial. Some people agree that she is courageous and perseverant. She is an enlightened sage who selects talents and accepts advice. During her reign, the country is peaceful and the people are peaceful, and she has made many contributions; some people ridicule her for being a prostitute. She strangled her daughter to death with a stick to kill the queen, killed her brother to avenge an old grudge, and killed many people to seize the throne... Before she died, she should not leave any tombstones for future generations to comment on. This book tells readers Wu Zetian's arduous journey from a woman of the Wu family to an emperor step by step. Let readers have a more comprehensive understanding of Wu Zetian and have different views on her.

Wu Zetian is one of the longest-lived emperors. Wu Zetian came from a humble background, which created her unwillingness to be buried and looked down upon. It nourished her desire and ambition to pursue power. But just dreaming is not enough. In order to achieve the goal, you also need to work hard. On the basis of her talent and intelligence, she had read a lot of books since she was a child and knew the truth. She was favored by Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty because of her good looks. Her achievements are relatively outstanding. During her more than ten years of rule, the society was still very prosperous.

There are many legends about Wu Zetian in history, but it is one of the novels that can systematically narrate Wu Zetian's birth to her reign in the world. This is one of the most attractive novels for readers. The author's narration is clear. Wu Zetian's viciousness and daring actions play a group of men around, and all the actions revolve around becoming the female emperor. It is a thrilling read.

The plot of this book attracted me very much, especially the part where Wu Zetian ascended to the throne, which made me see the strength and determination of a woman. Although some people say that she has a heart like a snake or a scorpion, I prefer to believe that she is an enlightened and sage queen. In that era when men were superior to women, it was really amazing that she was able to break through tradition and take control of national affairs! I like such a controversial historical figure and look forward to learning more about her story from the book.
