Socrates is a landmark figure in the history of philosophy. Socrates' life is a legendary life and a life of pursuing truth. He brought practical philosophy to future generations and opened up a new era and field. Socrates' life was a happy one. He had many things that we never had. He could always rely on his wisdom to make himself and the people around him happy. This book selects the essence of Socrates' gleaming thoughts in his life, which can be regarded as a summary of his life, a summary of his classic thoughts and superhuman wisdom. This book is divided into five chapters, starting from philosophical thinking, happiness thinking, truth thinking, educational thinking, and death thinking respectively, all of which are the reappearance of the sage Socrates' aura. Socrates is indeed a great philosopher, but I don't agree with recalling the soul prophet. The individual soul becomes aware through a series of physical accumulations such as seeing, reading, and tasting. For example, people can feel pain. When they suffer pain themselves, they will have a sense of empathy when others suffer the same situation, so they can understand the pain of others and help them alleviate their pain. If you don't feel pain yourself, you may feel indifferent or even happy when others suffer pain. But this does not prevent me from admitting that Socrates is an upright, brave, and great philosopher. His words and actions have been inspiring generation after generation to do good and pursue happiness.
This book gave me a deeper understanding of Socrates. His philosophical thoughts are really interesting! The book mentioned that he brought philosophy to pay attention to the human soul. I agree with this point because we should really think more about issues about the soul, morality and knowledge. And I think he was really wise to realize the limitations of Athenian democracy at that time. The essence of his thoughts also has certain enlightenment on our lives today. I recommend you to read this book!
Steve Jobs famously said, "I would trade my entire life for an afternoon alone with Socrates." Why is Socrates so magical? As a great philosopher in ancient Greece, most of the wisdom Socrates left to future generations lies in the conversations with Socrates recorded by his disciples. From these texts, this book summarizes Socrates' thinking on issues such as happiness, truth, education, and death. Through wonderful discussions, it comprehensively displays the thoughts of a great philosopher and inspires people infinitely.
Socrates is a famous ancient Greek philosopher, and is known as the "Three Greek Sages" along with Plato and Aristotle. I am very aware of Socrates' achievements in philosophy and education, but when I opened this book, I was still shocked. The two authors Liu Ye and Wang Jinyu have a deep understanding of Socrates' thoughts in the book. I wanted to conduct a very high-level analysis and explanation, which made me feel the charm of philosophy. Later, I learned more about Socrates, and I was shocked that Socrates drank poison and died for truth and justice. Such a person had thoughts that transcended others, and even his death was so thrilling and memorable.
What impressed me most about Socrates was the golden ears of wheat. It links love and philosophy. It is very interesting at first glance, but when you read it carefully, you will find that it contains great truth. What kind of great wisdom did Socrates have? With curiosity, I opened this book. It is impossible to accurately describe the feeling when reading this book. It is like being shrouded in layers of fog that cannot be seen clearly and cannot be touched. Socrates changed from just writing in history books to an elder who followed the teachings. Like clear water that embraces all things, he brought me different knowledge concepts and irrigated the ungerminated seeds in my heart.
Socrates was a great man who left priceless spiritual and ideological wealth to mankind. Socrates's attitude towards life and wisdom are precious treasures that human beings can always learn from and are worthy of our deep thought and reference. Socrates was poor all his life, but it was not that he was incapable of acquiring wealth, but that he disdained money. He believed that it was enough for people to have food and shelter. Pleasure and wealth are external things, freedom and happiness in life, kindness and sincerity are always the most precious. When the country was invaded, he was the bravest warrior on the battlefield and was never afraid of sacrifice! However, faced with an unfair sentence, he accepted the death penalty in order to stand up for his beliefs. He could live without death, he had countless students, many rich students wanted to save him with money, but he refused them all and died calmly.
I meet the world, I eclipse the world, and I fulfill my mission to reunite with all sentient beings.
