Faith is where the soul belongs.
The Heart Sutra is one of the Buddhist classics and is regarded as one of the core of Buddhist teachings. It covers the Buddha's teachings on prajna wisdom and emptiness. Through Master Hsing Yun's explanation, this book helps readers better understand and apply the wisdom and teachings in the Heart Sutra, and apply it to daily life to enhance their own awareness and spiritual growth. By reading this book, we can gain a deeper understanding of Buddhist thought and practice, explore inner wisdom and peace, and help ourselves live a better life.
I studied this Heart Sutra more than 10 years ago. I studied and understood it deeply again and learned from it. I have always had a question. At that time, our teacher said that this mantra should be recited as gadigadi, not jiedijiedi, but all the chants I heard were jiedi.
After reading this book, I have a better understanding of "The Four Elements Are All Empty". The "Four Elements" refers to the four elements of "earth, water, fire, and wind", and "Empty" refers to space. "The Four Elements are All Empty" means that "the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind must also rely on space to exist"...
It is the nature to follow the circumstances without changing, and it is the heart to follow the circumstances without changing. Therefore, the Nirvana Sutra says: "Being able to observe the nature of the mind is the highest concentration, the highest concentration is the first meaning, and the first meaning is the Buddha nature." Therefore, it is said that "the mind should be born without abiding." All things, all experiences, all situations, etc. That can cause waves in our hearts provide us with opportunities to practice. It is these troubles and waves that are our lessons at this moment. When we practice to the point of "passing among thousands of flowers, not a single leaf touches the body." We have gained true freedom.
Start observing yourself, become an observer, and learn to watch your inner thoughts and behaviors at all times.
Humans are conscious animals. For every conscious individual, there are only two states in this world, with you and without you. From a proportional point of view, there is no you in the overwhelming absolute time. Even in relative time, the trajectory of your body and consciousness can be ignored. Traditional Chinese ethics value the physical body far more than the soul. This can only lead to reincarnation in pain and desire. The body should be just a tool and a carrier for our pursuit of spiritual satisfaction.
Good talk. I saw someone say that reading the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra 100 times a day can improve your memory. I read it, but I didn't know what it meant. After reading this book, I understand that people should focus on the things at hand and reach a state of selflessness, which is cultivation. I don't know if this is the right way to understand it?
Recommended. The death of Master Hsing Yun prompted me to open this book, and his wisdom deeply infected me. Watching this Buddhist master speak about Buddhist scriptures, I gradually understood the true meaning of Buddhism. The Heart Sutra is very short, but difficult to understand. Thank you Master Hsing Yun for your interpretation. It not only spreads Buddhist knowledge, but also contains content suitable for people today. Many of the contents mentioned in the book have been forgotten in the fast-paced world. Reading this book made me slow down, feel calm, and feel transcendent.
It's really well written, I learned a lot after reading it.
It explains Buddhism in a simple and easy-to-understand way. It is very practical and can be closely integrated with real life, so you can understand faster and more thoroughly! It's too late to meet this book. You can use it to spread the Dharma, share it with other Bodhisattvas, and accumulate immeasurable merit.
Recognize your true self, id and superego.
Bodhi has no tree, so why does it need a mirror stand? There is nothing in the sky. If you go, you will come.
After reading this book, Won't make you a lot of money, It won't make you more wealthy. This book can help you gain wisdom, gain inner peace, Get the motivation to do things and practice.
"Prajna Heart Sutra" is a very short sutra that is widely sung in the world. However, the profound philosophy contained in its few hundred words is not well known. According to Master Hsing Yun, the gist of the Heart Sutra is to "know yourself." This is easy to say, but very difficult to achieve. After clarifying the basic essence of the Heart Sutra, Master Hsing Yun explained the Heart Sutra word for word. Each sentence was supplemented by a corresponding allusion to make the truth easy to understand and reveal naturally.
If you hold it empty, it is clear that it exists. If you don't care about life and death, you are a Buddha and not a human being. So what is the meaning of Buddha? Is it emptiness? I cherish sometimes and feel sad all the time. Could this only be Theravada Buddhism? So the point of Mahayana Buddhism is to make everyone think this way? Need to be enlightened
I couldn't understand the Heart Sutra thoroughly before, but after listening to this book: Master Xing☁️ explained it in simple terms, combined with examples, and made it easy to understand. Make people remember deeply. Through Master Hsing Yun's interpretation, I have a profound understanding of "Prajna"...
The lecture was very profound and gave me a new understanding of Buddhism. I began to feel that Buddhism was superstitious and had a certain degree of resistance. After reading this book by Master Hsing Yun, I gained a new understanding of Buddhism, which enabled me to deal with it more calmly in my future work and life. Thank you.
This book peels away people's hearts, goes layer by layer, connects with life, and makes the profound classics popular. It allows ordinary people like us to understand the classics, open our eyes of wisdom, observe ourselves, find our own prajna, and be grateful for our fate.
Then do you get Amitabha and Amtreya?
Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the beginning, so where can it cause dust.
Understand the wisdom of Prajna and listen to the motto of freedom.
Dispel doubts and understand Buddhism in order to understand it.
I gained a lot, and I will watch it a few more times after watching it for the second time.
It introduces the content of the Heart Sutra in a simple and easy-to-understand way, so that laymen can quickly grasp its core content and benefit a lot.
It can calm the mind. It's good to read when you have troubles.
Read it several times and really learn a lot. The more I read, the clearer it becomes.
Very well said! Learned, thank you!
Twelve causes and conditions still lead to the suffering of reincarnation of life and death! If you want to be free from the suffering of reincarnation in this life! Just practice in this life! And awaken to the wisdom of Prajnaparamita! Return to the pure land home without the six realms of reincarnation! Continue to read the Heart Sutra.
The unexamined life is not worth living. The Heart Sutra is a classic that examines life and guides people to live an enlightened life. The Heart Sutra focuses on the concept of "emptiness". All things in the world, including the five aggregates (form, feelings, thoughts, actions, and consciousness) that constitute ourselves and our cognition, have no eternal and unchanging nature and are essentially empty (empty is not nothing). Through various insights and understandings of life, we can deeply understand this emptiness; When we can see through the appearance of things and understand that everything is as impermanent and insubstantial as a dream; You will not be deceived by worldly fame, fortune, gain and loss, honor and disgrace, etc., And thus transcend these false attachments. This understanding of emptiness is a kind of spiritual awakening and sublimation, and it is also the important meaning of life at the intellectual level. Empty "Empty" is not nothing, but a state beyond the material world. Everything in the world has its own changes in life and death, and there is no eternal entity. Only by realizing "emptiness" can we get rid of attachment and worries about matter. We often work hard in pursuit of wealth, fame and fortune, but we don't know that these are temporary and will eventually disappear. When we understand this, we can let go of our attachments and gain inner peace. The Emptiness of Dependent Origination Various material phenomena in modern life, such as high-rise buildings, technological products, money and wealth, etc., Have no eternal, independent and real nature. They all arise from the harmony of causes and conditions. A smartphone is made up of many components, technology research and development, production and manufacturing, etc. It is not a naturally existing and fixed entity. In modern life, we experience various feelings, such as happiness when achieving success at work (pleasant feelings), pain when encountering setbacks (unpleasant feelings), and indifference in ordinary daily life (neither painful nor pleasant feelings), as well as various thoughts, behaviors and cognitions based on these feelings. These feelings and the mental activities based on them are also the combination of causes and conditions and have no fixed essence. We should be aware of this, not be swayed by temporary feelings of happiness or pain, and recognize that they are as impermanent as dreams and bubbles, so that we can maintain a relatively detached state of mind when facing the ups and downs of life. [No worries, no fear] Let go of the cares and worries in your heart, and don't be bothered by past troubles and future fears. Only when our hearts are free of worries can we live truly freely. In secular life, we are often troubled by various worries, such as the worry of greed for material things, the boredom caused by conflicts and disputes in interpersonal relationships, and worries about the uncertainty of the future. When we observe life with the wisdom of emptiness, we can understand that the root cause of these troubles lies in wrong attachments to things, and let go of these unnecessary attachments. So that the heart is no longer bound by troubles, and gradually moves towards the state of ultimate nirvana, that is, to obtain a complete spiritual liberation and freedom.
