This book "Living in the Moment" is the autobiography of Thich Nhat Hanh. The article uses his own experience to explain why and how to live in the present moment. What impressed me deeply was the section "Washing Dishes". In the eyes of the Zen master, washing dishes, a simple and even boring and distressing task, is worth savoring and is even a miracle. If you rush to eat snacks because you are tired of washing the dishes, then you will probably not be able to fully enjoy the snacks, but will remain trapped in the "cage of the future" and unable to experience the present moment. For a Zen master, every little thing in life is full of Zen inspiration. From the beginning to the end of this book, I saw one word: practice. Living in this moment is the cultivation of the heart. Only by feeling every moment of life well can we live in the present.

For us, the past and the future are uncontrollable. The past has become history and we cannot change it. The future has not happened yet and we have no control over it. The present is the only thing we can truly control. However, there are many people in our lives who are either obsessed with the past and unable to get out of it, or are anxious about the future. There is no way to truly live in the present and let time flow by in vain. This book tells through the author's personal experience how we can truly live in the present.
After reading this book, I learned to maintain mindfulness meditation in any environment, learn to cherish every little thing in ordinary life, keep my body and mind in a state of present awareness, and not dwell on the past or fear the future. Keep an optimistic and open-minded attitude towards things and live in the present!
"If I can't wash the dishes happily, and I'm just eager to finish it quickly so that I can have a snack and a cup of tea, then by the time I actually finish washing, I probably won't be able to enjoy the snacks and tea. Even if I eat the snack with a fork, I may be thinking about what to do next. . As a result, the deliciousness and deliciousness of this snack and the joy of enjoying this delicious food will be lost. I will continue to fall into the cage of the future, completely disconnected from reality and unable to feel the present moment. "Enjoy a moment of tranquility in this book and pursue spiritual freedom.
This moment matters. In our busy daily life, we are chasing worldly fame and rarely have time to stop and look, reflect on ourselves, or truly appreciate the environment; however, whether it is simply washing the dishes or on the way to work, it is actually a practice, and we can all learn many principles from it. Thich Nhat Hanh pointed out from the practice of a Buddhist that common problems of modern people such as anxiety and a sense of belonging can actually be cured by integrating into the present moment and observing oneself.

Reading this book now. Every time I read it, my heart is filled with a sense of security. It was as if there was a compassionate elder by my side, slowly melting the coldness in my heart with his gentle words and illuminating the darkness in my heart. I also have greater confidence in mindfulness practice and am determined to practice it myself.
Thanks to Master Thich Nhat Hanh, your writing is so beautiful and smart, and you introduced us to walking meditation and mindful breathing, which is so special. You write everything in life so beautifully, so calm, serene, and rich, even the suffering. .
Walking meditation, sitting meditation, and breathing are all done with mindfulness. Living in the present moment is the home of the soul.
"Living in the Moment" is the first autobiographical work of Thich Nhat Hanh, a famous modern Buddhist Zen monk, poet, scholar and pacifist. In this book, every story told by the author is from his personal experience. The author hopes to tell readers through real life experiences the meaning of living wholeheartedly at this moment. Augustine's "Confessions" has this sentence: "There are no three times of past, future and present, but only the three present corresponding to memories, expectations and concentration." If you feel anxious or confused due to heavy work and study pressure, this book is a good read to help you grasp the present and gain peace of life.
This book is not difficult. It contains some ordinary insights of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Every little thing, life is actually so trivial and jumps like this. It is always experienced and comprehended. After reading it, I understand the meaning of home better. A book will not make you worry less immediately, but read it one by one and slowly gain more insights. Suddenly one day you will understand the true meaning of detachment and you will be careful. This feeling is very relaxing and beautiful. There is no fear and the heart is in your heart!
A compassionate person sees kindness in everything.
My heart is very peaceful. I read a small part of it every day. This moment is a very important world. Focus on practicing mindfulness. Peace and happiness will follow you to check in and finish on 4.10 Days.
Thanks to Thich Nhat Hanh
I don't know what to say. I hope everyone can calm down and see the wisdom in the book.
Thank you thank you teacher
Brings the magic of tranquility
For the first time, I truly felt "peace" When I was very young, I had a consciousness at home: I wanted to go back "home". At that time, I didn't understand, wasn't I at home? Why was I so sad and why did I want to go home. Now that I am over 30, I have also experienced some things... In this era of anxiety about everything, ordinary people like me are not exempt from vulgarity. I am often in pain because of the past and anxious about the future. I am always surrounded by the cruelty of reality, suffocated and desperate, like a drowning person who involuntarily falls deeper, every day. Like a walking corpse, my heart seemed to be entangled with barbed wire, getting tighter and tighter, unable to breathe... I wanted to desperately hold on to something. I didn't believe in anything before, so I started praying, praying to all possible gods to let me catch something. Please, anything is fine, please save me... So I read crazily, reading Read, because only in books can I find resonance and comfort, frantically looking for words that can make me feel comfortable even for a second. God, I believe it. After reading this book, I really believe that hard work pays off. I really found it. I don't know how long this book will make me comfortable and calm, but it really makes me feel at ease. A book that has been read carefully word for word (I have read many books seriously, but this one is almost 100% read aloud). When reading it, there is no glance or ten lines, no restlessness, no eagerness to seek help and blessing. When reading it, it is reading it, just like Thich Nhat Hanh said, raking fallen leaves is raking fallen leaves. Each chapter of it is short and easy to read. The most important thing is the sentence under the title of each chapter. Every time I read it, it makes me excited and tears come to my eyes. I don't know where I got such abundant emotions, but that's the fact. I read it quietly, comfortably and slowly, reading every chapter and every short chapter. I read every sentence, every word, and every punctuation in a small paragraph. I feel so comfortable. I don't know if it's happiness. I can only say that I feel calm. But what I can't deny is that I really had a moment of happiness when I was reading. Even if it was short and fleeting, it had already drifted away as soon as I felt its existence. So if you, like me, are struggling, struggling, suffering, and searching in this world, even so, you have never thought of giving up yourself and trying hard to save yourself, because we know very well that only we can save ourselves, and all we can rely on is ourselves. Please read this book. Please read this book. Please read this book.
Inspiring
A life of suffering, live a strong life
There is a Buddha in my heart, and there is a Buddha everywhere
Sharing the wisdom of life, Those who are willing to read this book, There will be more peace and less pain.
I like to read all Thich Nhat Hanh's books and learn a lot from them. I am grateful to the great Thich Nhat Hanh.
