Even if you do it artificially, there will be merit. Only by praying to the teacher with more thoughts and practicing steadily can you be in harmony with the Buddha!

The most famous Buddhist scripture handed down by the eminent Tibetan monk Patrul Rinpoche records the various teachings the eminent monk gave to his disciples during his lifetime. It contains many of his understandings of life, and it also has many lessons for things other than Buddhist life. For example, the eminent monk said that there are three faults in a Dharma utensil: failure to pay attention to the ear is like a covered utensil, failure to hold the mind is like a leaky utensil, and miscellaneous worries are like a poisonous utensil. This is closely related to our reading and writing. That is, we should concentrate on listening to Buddhism and should not limit ourselves to half-knowledge or perfunctory work. We should also not have evil motives such as greed for fame and status, or delusions such as greed, anger, and ignorance.
