My Little Half-Life tells the story of a gentle, beautiful, kind-hearted woman who was never cherished by her family. She grows up in a lonely, warped environment, and after marriage, succeeds through her own hard work. Yet she cannot let go of family ties, and still offers warmth to the relatives who have hurt her countless times.
The protagonist is constantly torn, caught between resentment and concern for her family. Through her story, we come to understand the nature of family bonds and the power of blood ties. This novel portrays three children who grew up in a dysfunctional family, each bearing the deep scars their family left behind.
Although there are not many dialogues and the story is told in a plain tone, the happy life of ordinary people is very real.
